Ossian Ekdahl, new Head of Communications and ESG
Sweden’s First National Pension Fund has merged its units for corporate governance and corporate communications. Ossian Ekdahl, who has been the Fund’s Head of Corporate Governance since 2001, has been appointed as Head of Communications and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance issues).
The new unit will be responsible for the Fund’s communication and shareholder activism, the latter of which includes both corporate governance and matters related to environmental and social responsibility in the companies where the Fund has investments. The reorganization has created a stronger focus on responsible investment now that Nadine Viel Lamare has left her post as Head of Corporate Communications to instead devote her full time to ESG-analysis and engagement.
