Government evaluation
Every year, the performance of the AP Funds is evaluated by the Swedish government and the results are presented in a communication to the Swedish Parliament.
The Swedish Ministry of Finance decides which aspects of the AP funds’ operations will be examined and which independent firms will assist the Government with its evaluation. These firms study the funds’ internal decision-making documents and data series (such as return series, portfolio holdings, etc.) as a basis for their analyses.
With the support of this analysis, the Government makes its own assessment of the funds’ performance. The Government’s evaluation is published in a report that is presented to the Swedish Parliament.
